Atlanta Foraging Tours

Workshops that empower everyone in the pursuit of greater self-sufficiency, health, and connectedness to our planet.

About Me

Born and raised in rural America, foraging, agriculture, and home remedies have always been a vital part of daily life and shaped my appreciation for a more self-sufficient lifestlye.

I am a foraging enthusiast, educator, artist, and budding herbalist.

I have studied under a handful of eastern US herbalists and foraging instructors and have propelled my own learning through independent study and research in the field over the years.

I dream of empowering all people in their pursuit of healing and greater self-sufficiency!

Morgan was a knowledgeable, passionate, and thoughtful host! Her plant tour was not only informative but interactive. The picnic at the end brought the experience full circle when we ate both a savory and a sweet dish using the plants we learned to identify during the tour. We also tried a variety of teas which was a delightful way to end the walk. Exploring a Land Trust was also a great way to learn more about urban gardening in Atlanta. Would highly recommend Morgan if you’re interested in learning to forage locally.

This experience was fantastic! My group arrived a few people at a time, but we had plenty to talk about with Morgan as we waited for everyone. The location was adorable and the we were lucky that the weather was warm and sunny. On our walk, I was impressed by Morgan’s knowledge. I took botany and ethnobotany classes in college and I learned a ton on this tour! Morgan had prepared a picnic with snacks for us at the end of the tour, which was amazing. Not only did it feel really special, but Morgan used plants we had talked about on the tour, so we had great examples of how to use the plants, and it helped reinforce what we’d learned. Morgan was great at answering our questions, and could identify and talk about the possible uses of any plant we pointed to. I highly recommend this experience for anyone interested in edible and medicinal plants!

I organized this experience for my social group. The place was a hidden gem in metro Atlanta. The facilitator, Morgan, was very knowledgeable and the tour was memorable. The food tasting was also delicious and delightful.
